Tomatillos

Yes, tomatillos grow in Smithers! My favourite use is on nachos or in breakfast hash, where they bring a crisp, tangy and slightly sweet flavour. They are probably most well-known as the key ingredient in salsa verde, and they're also used in a variety of other Mexican and Tex-Mex cuisine.
